The Origin of yoga(The Ancient Technique)

Where does yoga come from?

The origin of yoga can be traced back 5,000 years to North India. The word yoga was first mentioned in the ancient sacred texts called the Rigveda (ऋग्वेद). The Vedas are a group of four ancient sacred texts written in the Sanskrit language. The Rigveda is the oldest of the Vedas and is a collection of over a thousand hymns and mantras in ten chapters, known as mandalas.  Yoga was refined and developed by sages (ऋषियों), who documented their practices and beliefs in the Upanishads, which included more than 200 scriptures. Yoga is one of the six schools of philosophy in Hinduism and is also a major part of Buddhism and its meditative practices.

Why yoga is so popular?

There are many reasons why yoga is popular today. One thing is that your body is like a barometer, it makes you realize some basic facts about yourself. If you know how to look at it, it tells you all about yourself. Not fancy things you think, but actual facts.

Your mind is very deceitful; Every day it says something different, but if you know how to read the body, it tells you everything as it is your past, present, and future. That’s why fundamental yoga begins with the body.

Yoga is the only system that has survived for more than 15,000 years without any pope or enforcement. It has never happened anywhere in the history of humanity that someone has put a sword around someone’s neck and said that yoga should be done. It has lived and lived because it has acted as a process of well-being like anything else.

Yoga(योग) is the only system that has survived for over 15,000 years without any pope or enforcement. Nowhere in the history of humanity has it happened that somebody put a sword to someone’s neck and said, “You must do yoga. It has lived and lived because it has acted as a process of well-being like anything else. The origin of yoga gives us the health-conscious, body freshness and cool mind life.

Even though it is being taught today in a very original or distorted way, it still persists. Many things come and go with changing fashions, but yoga has been around for thousands of years, and it is still gaining momentum.

When did yoga arrive in the West?

Yoga, as it is known in the West, began in the late 1890s, when Indian monks first began to spread their knowledge to the Western world. People traveling to India were also able to walk shoulder to shoulder with the yogis and observe their practice firsthand.

The introduction of the origin of yoga in the West is often attributed to Swami Vivekananda (1863–1902). He first came to the United States in 1883 and was soon convening a world conference on the subject, describing yoga as the “science of the mind”, and he translated yogic texts from Sanskrit into English.

In 1893, during a visit to America, he aroused the nation’s interest by performing yoga at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. As a result, many other Indian yogis and masters were welcomed with open arms in the West.

Yoga is Not an Exercise

The way yoga is being done in most places of the world today is a dead birth. It’s better not to be pregnant than to have a stillbirth, right? If you want six abs or whatever the number is, I’d say go and play tennis or take a hike in the mountains. Yoga is not an exercise; There are other dimensions attached to it. A different dimension of fitness, yes – it can give you health but not six abs.

Twenty years after yoga entered and became popular in the West, medical professionals are now coming forward and studying and saying, “Yoga has benefits.” Although it is taught in trivial ways, its health benefits around the world are undeniable. But if the improper, distorted kind of yoga spreads, then in ten-fifteen years scientific studies will come out clearly and show how it is harmful to man, and that will collapse.

How Does Yoga Help?

Bringing mind, body, and spirit together is a different way of looking at fitness. Asanas exercise the body while pranayama and meditation help to reduce stress and relax. It improves every aspect of life. There is an increase in energy and the mind is able to be clearer, focused, and more creative.
